Elyra, the one who is called The Weaver of Fate in ancient history books.
Once, the whispers felt like a gift.
A promise of foresight, of power. A promise that she could change the course of time, claim the throne, and finally become free.
But the voice was never hers.
It belonged to Myrath, an ancient, parasitic entity that seduced her with false promises and slowly wove itself into her mind. Twisting her senses. Feeding her visions. Convincing her she was becoming invincible, while every step forward only tightened its grip around her soul.
This illustration is the first chapter of Elyra's tragic tale. A story about power, manipulation, and the dangerous comfort of believing that the voice inside your head always speaks the truth.
I wanted to create an image that tells a lot of story and
accidentally went so deep into the lore of this illustration that I ended up creating an entire backstory.

Over the past year, I've been rediscovering my love for personal fantasy illustration after spending the last decade working in concept art and game art.
